Counting Series
Using the whimsical and celebratory tradition of fairy tale illustrations these drawings present the viewer with counting problems in order to explore where one self begins and another ends. Conjoined rabbits, houses, flowers and women and pelvises are situated in domestic scenes saturated with growth and blurred potentials. How does our emphasis on individuality actually play out in our interdependent and often physically connected lives? Who and what counts?
